Vol. 1, No. 1 of a new magazine called “Short Shorts,” a vehicle for a “brief, fast, dramatic,…..powerful form” of story demanded by a public who has experienced the “vastly quickened” pace and rhythm of the previous twenty years (1910’s and 20’s). I know the cover illustrator only as “Hofman.” July, 1932.

For those kind friends who have inquired, I am now home from tending to my mother who had pneumonia. We are taking care of choosing assisted living for her and in the process of repairing her house, so I will be back and forth for awhile. The intense attention to health and house details did not prevent me from finding more treasures, however!
