1922 November Ladies Home Journal fashions “Paris lengthens skirts but urges variety in necklines”! Though skirts are to the ankle in Paris, designers are having a harder time convincing their American clients. Nevertheless, most American women of fashion wear their skirts long from 1923-24, and real fashionistas dropped their skirts early in 1922.

Kittyinva: Of course America, and much of the world, was coming out of a deep post-war recession in 1921 (1920 being the hardest year) so it is not surprising that Bedell’s would advertise “the lowest prices in seven years”.
